How to deal with aflatoxin in wooden cutlery at home?

My wooden chopsticks and bamboo chopsticks have become moldy in less than three months? It is not safe to place fruit knives and kitchen knives in random places, and the fruit is also smelly. Do you have such troubles too?

How to deal with aflatoxin in wooden cutlery at home?

1. Ultraviolet lamp
The working principle of the ultraviolet lamp is to use the high energy of the ultraviolet spectrum to destroy the structure of microorganisms, which has a strong bactericidal effect, so as to achieve the purpose of disinfection. Irradiation with ultraviolet light can effectively remove aflatoxin on the surface of items;

2. Sun exposure
Sun exposure can make tableware and items fully contact with ultraviolet rays, which can play a part in disinfection and sterilization. Special attention should be paid to keeping tableware in a ventilated and dry place after exposure, because a dry and ventilated environment can inhibit the growth of flavomycin;

3. Baking soda soaking method
Baking soda is alkaline, and aflatoxin is easier to decompose under alkaline conditions. Like our commonly used wooden cutting boards, it is easy to get moldy. You can soak it with baking soda at ordinary times, which can remove 90% of Aspergillus flavus white;

4. High temperature kill
Aflatoxin will only be decomposed at 280 °C, and its toxicity can be destroyed. Ordinary boiling water cannot remove aflatoxin, but we can use a pressure cooker. The pressure of the pressure cooker is relatively high, so the temperature is relatively high, and the effect of removing aflatoxin is still relatively good.
